Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced problems to water supplies, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different assault in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were hurt.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
